I got back from holiday just over a week ago. I was back home in South Africa. It was awesome. I am glad to be back but I miss home too. This is the first time I have actually been sad leaving home. Lots of sun and good times with friends and family.

It's kind of strange being on the other side of a web comic. I always used check various sites and if a site didn't have a comic up when it was scheduled to go up I would be slightly disheartened. I would then check back frequently during the day hoping that the site would have been updated. As I am still new to this and I really enjoy making this comic... I found myself checking back here everyday hoping that it would be updated...

My intention was to do a comic while out in SA but was unable to get hold of a scanner. So I have been slaving all week to get this comic to you. I hope you enjoy it.

Anyways... I am back and the regular irregular updates of once every fortnight should now continue.

Time to go to bed...

I won't have a new comic up this week. Last week was really busy and it was most difficult to balance everything. Unfortunately in most cases when things get busy, it's gonna be the comic that loses out. Sorry about that.

Also, I wanna clear up the reason about why I am doing this comic. It's more for myself than anything. "Why say it here?", I hear you ask? Well, I don't want to lie. I want to be open and honest. I don't want you to expect something and not get it.

I do this comic for fun. It's purely for the enjoyment I get out of it. I hope to get very little else out. The only thing I really hope for is to make people chuckle a little... that... and chicks... loads of chicks...

Why am I bringing this up? Well, the last two comics have felt like too much like work. "Oh.. no the comic needs to be out by Monday... scramble scramble"... The comic is supposed to be my enjoyment... The thing I do to take my mind off work...

I think the reason this is happening is because I have made promises that I can't always keep. The promise in this case being a two weekly release. If I miss the release I feel bad... and become despondent and lose a little bit of enthusiasm about making the comic. Then, when it is done, I end up posting some lie about why the comic is late... then I feel doubly bad... because not only have I broken a promise... I have lied too.

The other reason... I have been hesitating on the comics is because I fear the sustainability of the jokes... I have never really thought of myself as a funny person. I do know I make people laugh though... I just fear that there may be a finite amount of "funniness" inside me... but I am told this is a normal problem that many comic strip writers face...? In this case I just need man up and push through.

About the release schedule... I would like to say this... this is my hobby. I will do it as much as possible... I will aim for the 2 week release but zero promises. If you do want to keep up with the updates, I suggest subscribing to the RSS feed... that way you will be sure to keep up with haphazard updates should it be that way...

I vaguely remember a fairy tale about this guy that angered a witch and she turned him into a tree. Most of the time you think that all of this is make believe and get on with your life. After watching this video I wonder how much of those fairy tales actually have a basis in truth.

Hi all...

I am back home in South Africa for holiday at the moment. I have the script for the new comic but unfortunately not all the equipment to draw it. Technically one should be up by the 30th... but I don't think I will be able to get one up in time. In fact... I might not be able to get one up until after the 19th when I return back to London... I will do my best to get one up as soon as I can ... but no promises...

Seeing as I don't have the needed equipment to work on a comic I did the next best thing - some work on the site. So... as promised, there is now an RSS feed on the site. I haven't tested it as well as I should, so... if you run into any problems, please let me know. I don't suspect anything should go wrong though.

The next thing you guys asked for is for a commenting system... I will get that up as soon as I can.

Sorry for the late post. I underestimated the time it would take to get the comic done. I am still new to this so I am learning as I go along.

Overall I am not that happy with today's comic and I figured out why just after I uploaded it... I already used the snail approach in a previous comic... and feels like its not new and original.. I am happy with the way the last panel looks though... and I think this snail approach is a lot better than the other one... but anyways... hope you enjoy.

I was told the last panel was a bit too dark on some monitors and that it looked like it was just black... so I have made it a bit lighter.... Hope it is alright now.

Snails are generally hermaphrodites. They don't generally reproduce asexually but I am pretty sure in certain conditions they can and do. Those conditions probably being when snail with a large snail penis.... sigh enough of that....

I picked up Mario Galaxy last night. I told myself I would not open it until I finish the comic. Turns out I have mastered my addiction. So, I hope you enjoyed the comic. I am gonna try get in a bit of Mario play before I have to go to bed for work tomorrow.

I forgot that I wanted to say thanks to Shashi for helping me out with the last script.

The comic is late again... I try to get it up by Friday morning every second week... 2 excuses... 1stly I started late and 2ndly my drawing is not that good yet and am having trouble with consistency and angles and things... I want to get it right... I don't know if you guys care about the details... but in my opinion you should not need to be bothered with them.

Anyways... I wish I could say soon... but I will say... as soon as possible.

Also this is why RSS is needed... I will get that to you guys soon to.. :/

You probably already know that the new comic is up as the comic comes before the post. Meaning... the title of this post is pointless...

oh well...

I will be getting an rss feed up as soon as I can. The feed will be the next bit of functionality I get working. I don't know if there is a definitive way of doing a feed for comic. I am sure there are tools out there for that. I have heard good things about feedburner but have no idea of what it is capable of.... perhaps it is something to look into.

Anyhow... time for bed.

I was meaning to finish the new one tonight and get it up by friday morning but my PC crashed just after I finished inking and stupidly I didn't save. Also after the crash, my tablet does not seem to be picking up any pressure sensitivity. I thought I may have been pressing too hard but I think now it may be the drivers. Hopefully a driver reinstall will fix it. If the lettering comes out weird in the next one, I have not been able to fix it.

If I get a chance to complete it, I will get it up this weekend.
