I don't have much to say in the way of a post. But I would like to say from the heart, sincerely, I wish you all a good year.

Let's see what happens if we actually try this time. Do your best, I will be trying to do my best.

 There isn't even a panda in this comic. I think these snail guys steal the show. I want to write about SP but the snail guys... they are just too awesome. I should stop trying to fight it. I should just rename it to Space Snail Guys.

Someone must be sick! Where the hell did this comic come from? First comic of the year?

I don't really have much to say in the way of a post today unfortunately. So I wanted to take the opportunity to sincerely wish you all a wonderful holiday, merry Christmas and also hope that the New Year starts out just right for you.

You guys ever talk to yourselves? How about talking back to yourself?

I do. When I don't have any ideas It's sometimes one of the processes I use to create the dialogue for the comics.

Here is a gem I came up with today:

Getting ready for the day:

Me: "Ok! We need to shower, get dressed and go to the library to study for our test."

Reply: "No! I don't want to wear people clothes".

Honestly Brain. WTF.

Done. This comic has taken the longest ever. From the time I decided to go with the script until completion... today. It's been really long. Lets see... the original folder name is 20100106. Hmmm... 6 of Jan 2010? Really? That long? Am I that much of shit (also pronounced procrastinator)? It felt like only the other day I started. I wrote something on twitter about it... oh yeah, here it is... it was this year. I got the folder naming wrong.

Anyway it's done and up. There it is. I am only a bit happy with it. I think a lot can be improved. The final product does not match what was in my head.

I was just trying to keep my skill up with this one. I drew a man (which I hardly ever draw) and wanted to colour him. I always struggle when deciding what colour to make the skin. I am black but most cartoons are white. It's kind of a perception you get growing up, most human characters tend to be white. Something struck me when I first saw a magazine from Nigeria - All the models where black. Why was this? Why did they not have white models?

I suppose they wanted to appeal to people reading the magazine. That, and it would also be impractical to do all photo shoots internationally or fly in white models or even have enough pretty white models to go around.

So with the colours above I was testing out skin colours as far removed as possible from the real thing (except of course the white and black ones). Why all of this you ask? We'll I didn't want to subject my characters to any of the prejudices associated with skin colours in the real world.

I think I have done quite well here and something more suited to my style. What do you think is the one you like most?
